Ribs & Rumps @ Manly Beach

It's not very often I go to Manly but I sure had a perfect excuse to go - catch up session with my girl friend! Despite having rain for the past few week, it was lucky that we had nice weather that day. 


If you haven't been to Manly before and your coming from the City direction - you can catch a Ferry from the Wharf at Circular Quay (right in front of the station! Look for the water view side of the station. You definitely won't miss it!) Ferries comes every half an hour on the weekends, so make sure your there waiting at least 15 minutes or more beforehand (You'll be surprised how many commuters go on the ferry to Manly on the weekends!) It takes 30mins to get to Manly from Circular Quay. Enjoy the spectacular Sydney view while your at it too!! (You won't be bored!)


I got there a bit earlier than expected and I was starving!! We had planned to dine at a specific place but our booking was not until 1.5 hours later..  As my friend was guiding me around the area I spotted the Ribs & Rumps sign and I jumped for joy!! Who knew Ribs & Rumps will be in Manly! (Well.. I didn't!) If you are a ribs and rumps lover.. you might like this place! Their ribs never fails me! *touch wood!* Without hesitation, we headed towards the stairs to Ribs & Rumps!

Ribs & Rumps Manly is located upstairs on 35 South Steyne - It's above Whitewater Restaurant and it's right in front the beach!! 

It's approximately 8-10 minutes walk from Manly Wharf.

First came the drinks - we selected something non-alcoholic! The first time I had this drink was at the Ribs & Rumps in North Ryde - Let's just say - It tasted much better at North Ryde. Although it looks nice..The one here at Manly was a bit bitter and was not sweet at all.. this was the only let down! :( it seemed like a rushed job me thinks!

Secondly, our entree came.. GARLIC PRAWNS!! (I'm sorry if your not a seafood fan!) No negatives on this one.. although I questioned the random salad on the side!! Prawns was delicious and the rice was moist!

I got carried away with thinking about my stomach than to take photo's of our mains.. we both demolished it before I remembered taking a photo!! Sorry guys! I will try remember next time! :) By the way.. If you do end up being a regular or a frequent diner at Ribs & Rumps, when you pay for your bill don't forget to pick up a frequent diners card! It is an reward program where you will get a total of 5% cash back on your total bill for your next visit! You don't really need to do anything but to present your card upon payment and log onto their website later to register your details! More information please!
